Our First Meeting-A Success!

Thanks to all the gals that came out September 23 for our first get together! There was ten of us altogether, varying in age and experience.
It was such a break from the daily grind. I had alot of fun just getting to know everyone and helping them with their horses.
The horses enjoyed their 'spa day' and looked fabulous after a thorough grooming and having all the burrs removed from their manes and tails.
Everyone left for the day smelly and smiley.
A big thank you to Steve and Andrea Richardson for letting use the facilities at Circle Square Ranch. And a big thank you to the Lord for keeping that umbrella over the ranch so we wouldn't get rained on!

We also decided to have our meetings go from 10 A.M. to 12:30 noonish. A half hour longer than previously planned so we can fit more fun in.

Remember gals to wear your new rubber boots next week to avoid getting soakers.

If you bring a new friend along, remember to let me know as well as warn them about the need for rubber boots.

Next Saturday we'll continue practising our grooming skills and hopefully saddle up and go for a little toot in the riding ring if time permits. Don't be nervous, being a beast of burden is what these horses do best.

Well....I'm looking forward to next week already!

:-) Cheryl
